CURATOR AND CULTURAL MANAGER

eeen

I have more than 10 years of experience as a photography curator and a cultural project manager. In 2015, I designed and curated the first Festival of the Caribbean Image, a festival of contemporary photography and also the first temporary exhibition t the Memorial MACTe in Pointe à Pitre, Guadeloupe.

With 40 Caribbean contemporary photographers and video artists, coming from 16 countries across the Caribbean region, I imagined the festival in three main parts: the most talented contemporary conceptual photographers cohabited with family images and archive photogaphy of the earliest times of stereographic photography.

In 2016, I curated the photographic exhibition Embodied Islands at the Warwick Arts Centre in the UK. For this exhibition, I worked with the local population of the Midlands to question body memory and the representation of the Caribbean body in a tropical landscape seen as a commodity.
